Region Details

The Region Details page allows you to view detailed information about a region, including the company the region is associated with, any parent or child regions in the region's hierarchy, a list of properties associated with the region, and any user-defined fields associated with the region.

To open the Region Details page:

  1. Open the Administration Menu page.

  2. Under the COMPANY ADMINISTRATION heading, click Region Details.

  3. Click the Select Region button to select the region you want to examine.

    A dialog box opens, allowing you to enter search criteria and select a region.

  4. Click the region name link.

The following panes of information are displayed:

Region Information

This pane provides general information about the region. Clicking the Edit Region link allows you to modify any of these values.

  • Region Name – Specifies the name of the region.

  • Region Description – Specifies a short description of the region.

  • Region Type – Specifies the type of region, for example, Region or Site.

  • External Region ID – Specifies any identifier of the region used by an external system.

  • Eligible for Extract - This field appears for only for installations where NPFA (Non-Profit Fund Accounting) is enabled. True indicates that the ability to extract work order, utility, and/or supply issue costs that are associated with this region has been enabled. If you click the Edit Region link, this value displays as a check box allowing you to toggle this feature on or off.

Company Information

This pane displays information about the company the region is associated with.

  • Company Name – the name of the company
  • Company Address – the address of the company
  • Phone – the company's phone number
  • Web Site – a link to the company's web site
  • Status – the status of the company, either Active or Inactive

Region Hierarchy

The Region Hierarchy pane lists the parent region and the child regions for the selected region, if they are defined. This pane only displays the direct parent and direct children of the selected region, not grandparent or grandchild regions.

Each region appears as a link. Clicking a link opens the Region Details page for the selected region.

Region Properties

The Region Properties pane lists the properties that are associated with the selected region. This pane only includes properties that are directly associated with the region. It does not include properties associated with child regions of the region.

Each property appears as a link. Clicking a link opens the Property Details page for the selected property.

Region UDF Groups

Separate panes for each UDF (User-Defined Field) group created for this type of region appear at the bottom of the page. The name and number of UDF panes included will vary for each installation.

Clicking the EDIT Region link allows you to modify this region's values for the displayed UDFs.
